FLN - the ability to read with understanding and do basic maths - is the bedrock of all later learning. A child who cannot read by Grade 3 struggles with every subject that follows.
Recognising this, NEP 2020 made universal FLN the country's top education priority, and the government launched the NIPUN Bharat Mission in 2021 to ensure every child attains grade-level literacy and numeracy by the end of Grade 3 by 2026–27.
Muktangan brings two decades of proven, child-centred pedagogy to this national goal - inside the public system, where the need is greatest.

The FLN Model Under NIPUN Bharat
Direct classroom delivery, ages 4–9In partnership with the BMC, Muktangan runs a three-year progressive FLN model (AY 2022–2025) across four Mumbai wards, in English, Marathi, Hindi, and Urdu-medium schools.
