Theory of Change
Muktangan Seeks to Address
Children from underserved and marginalized communities often experience:
Poor quality and inequitable education
Low confidence and limited voice
Rote-based and fear-driven learning environments
Lack of social-emotional support
Limited exposure to democratic values and critical thinking
High risk of remaining trapped in cycles of poverty and exclusion
Weak school-community relationships
Limited teacher agency and professional development
Conventional education systems frequently focus narrowly on academic outcomes while neglecting the holistic development of children, teacher empowerment, inclusion, emotional well-being, and citizenship.

How a Child Grows With Us
We measure success not at Grade 10, but across a lifetime. At every stage, an outward achievement is matched by an inner shift in how a child sees themselves.
"I am seen, valued, and capable."
The first classroom is a mirror. A child who feels safe, noticed and celebrated begins to believe that who they are matters - long before they can read or write.
"Learning is joyful and connected to me."
Curiosity replaces fear of the wrong answer. Through active, hands-on learning, children discover that knowledge is something they build - not something done to them.
"I can think, question, and contribute."
Opinions start to form. Children learn to reason, debate respectfully, and see themselves as active participants in their classroom - not passive recipients of it.
"I can shape my future."
Ambition takes root. With mentorship and exposure, students begin to see pathways - college, careers, possibilities - that once felt out of reach.
"I can contribute to society."
The journey completes its purpose. A confident, capable young adult - ready to give back to the very community that once gave them their first classroom.
