Muktangan is inclusive of all children, regardless of ability. We know that every child learns, albeit in different sequences and at differing speeds. Muktangan students include those who are differently-abled. Their progress is supported by members of a specialised department through both classroom support and one-on-one interventions. Our children thereby grow up being sensitive to one another’s differing needs and develop caring attitudes.
Our partnerships have taught teachers how to be sensitive to children’s needs. We have seen that students, who before joining Muktangan were earlier thought not to be able to achieve in a mainstream school, are now doing well.
